Filtration vs Air Cleaning

Store-bought filters vary in their performance when collecting larger particles from the air above the fivemicron range, and cannot collect the smaller particles that are injurious to our health. The Micron chart provides a visual representation of the spectrum of common air contaminants and their measured sizes in microns. Filters – even the higher-end ones – can only collect the larger particles, while air cleaners are capable of removing even the smallest airborne contaminants that penetrate our lungs and enter our blood stream causing allergies, asthma attacks, headaches and other ailments. These smaller particles, below five microns, pass through filters because the holes in the filters are larger than the particles we are trying to remove from the air. Air Cleaners by contrast will collect these larger particles, and are also designed to reduce and control the smaller allergens through the use of polarized media attraction and ultraviolet energy. Since 98% of airborne contaminants are less than one micron in size, knowing the effectiveness of a product at controlling submicronic particles, infectious agents and toxic compounds is very important when making a decision about an Air Treatment System for your home.

Your immune system flushes out allergens and toxins from your body , yet it can only handle a certain volume. It is designed to handle outdoor air that has been cleansed naturally by weather and the suns UV rays. The EPA states that your indoor air is at least 2 – 5 times more polluted than outside air; which puts a strain on your immune system and it can’t keep up.

Picture filling a bucket faster than it can drain causing the bucket to overflow. If the bucket is your body and the drain your immune system, the overflow represents allergens and toxins entering your blood stream causing allergic reactions and other ailments.

Nature’s Home® Air Cleaning Systems will cleanse and disinfect your air 24 hours a day naturally and without chemicals keeping your intake of airborne pollution very low so your immune system can keep up.
